The Marmottan Monet Museum was originally built as a private residence and converted into a museum to display the extensive art collection of Paul Marmottan. In addition to its extensive Monet collection, the Marmottan Monet Museum also houses works by other significant artists, including Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. It also features an impressive collection of medieval illuminations and a range of temporary exhibitions covering a wide variety of themes and periods.
